Having moved up from junior-lightweight to junior-welterweight division, former national champion Sibusiso Zingange is hoping that his fight against Gift Bolo will go the full distance this coming Friday.

Zingange, a former South African junior-lightweight champion, clashes with Bolo in a 10 rounds bout at the Bloemfontein City Hall.

Boksburg-based Zingange’s last two fights didn’t go the distance after he dislocated his left shoulder in a SA junior-lightweight clash against Lunga Sitemela in May last year and Asanda Gingqi nine months ago.

“I’m ready for this fight and I hope that I will be able to finish it. I’m also hoping that my shoulder is not going to give me problems like it was the case in the past,” Zingange said.

“I was advised to undergo an operation, but didn’t go ahead with it because it was expensive. I then went to consult a physiotherapist, who helped me.”

This is going to be the former SA champion’s first fight since he moved up two divisions to the junior-welterweight.
