The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) came from behind to beat Guinea 3-1 in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe in Ivory Coast on Friday evening.

After absorbing pressure from the Congolese, Guinea scored first 11 minutes into the match. Forward Mohamed Lamine Bayo gave Guinea the lead from the penalty spot.

The Leopards equalised through their captain and defender Chancel Mbemba following Fuka Arthur Masuaku Kawela corner in the 27th minute.

The Central Africans led for the first time in the 65th minute after Brentford FC striker Yoanne Wissa’s goal. Masuaku Kawela’s free kick from long range made it 3-1 eight minutes before full-time.
