The Nigerian Super Eagles soared into the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament after they emerged 1-0 victorious over Angola at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Friday evening.
The all-important goal was scored by Ademola Lookman four minutes before the half-time break. That was the 26-year-old former England Under-21 forward’s third goal in this tournament.
The Super Eagles are going to face either Cape Verde or Bafana Bafana in the semi-finals. The Blue Sharks and Bafana face each other in Yamoussoukro on Saturday evening.
