SuperSport United stole a point as they held CapeTown City to a 1-1 draw in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Following a goalless first half, Citizens star striker Khanyisa Mayo scored a stunning goal just five minutes into the second stanza. And that was the Mthatha-born forward’s ninth goal of the season.

Matsatsantsa a Pitori defender Lyle Lakay made sure that he denied his former team the full points when he equalised with a well-taken free-kick in referee’s added time.

Meanwhile, Lamontville Golden Arrows’ woes continued as they were beaten 1-0 by Sekhukhune United through Elias Mokwana’s 90th minute goal at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale.

Things are very bad at Abafana Bes’thende as luck has deserted them, having lost their last 10 matches.
