Orlando Pirates have done it again, beating Chippa United 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday evening.
Buccaneers goalpoacher Tshegofatso Mabasa netted twice – in the 36th and 42nd minutes to give Pirates the win. Mabasa has now scored 15 goals.
This was the second time Pirates defeated the Chilli Boys in less than a week. Bucs beat the Chilli Boys 3-1 in a Nedbank Cup semi-final encounter at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Lamontville Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns played to a goalless draw at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale.
