A new deal between the Buffalo City Metro and Chippa United will see the Premiership side receiving more than R30 million for bringing topflight football to East London.

The agreed three-year sponsorship will result in the Chilli Boys pocketing at least R1,2m per each of the seven matches to be played at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London.

On top of the match fees, the Chilli Boys are going to get a R3,5m once off fee for the BCM brand to appear on their shirts.

The Chilli Boys, who started playing their matches in East London during the second round of the 2015/16 season, have already played four games at the Buffalo City Stadium since February this year.

The Eastern Cape-based Chilli Boys are going to divide their matches between East London and Gqeberha’s Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The Chilli Boys receive R13,5m per annum from the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
