At least 14 candidates are running for a position in the seven-member board of Boxing South Africa (BSA) ,which is going to be announced by Minister of Sport Zizi Kodwa on Tuesday next week. 

The names of the 14 candidates were announced on Friday morning following consultations between Kodwa and his deputy Nocawe Mafu had with different boxing stakeholders. 

The stakeholders have until Monday next week to make their comments and inputs on the 14 candidates, which are Josh Cloete, Advocate Khatiga Mohamed Roshan, Dr Koketjo Biggy Tsebe, Aleck Skhosana, Mkhumbuzi Biko, Tseleng Mary Maphike, Gilberto Pereira Martins, Tshabedi Richard Serote, Sifiso Shongwe, Luxolo September, Sakhiwe Sodo, Nande Mheshe, Romy Titus and Dr Luvuyo Bayeni.

Shongwe, September, Mheshe, Titus and Sodo were in the board, which was successfully interdicted by the National Professional Boxing Promoters Association (NPBPA) in December last year.
