A 26-man Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament was announced by coach Hugo Broos at the Sefako Makgato Presidential Guest House in Pretoria on Wednesday evening.
The tournament, scheduled to be played in June and July, is going to be co-hosted by Mexico, Canada and the United States of America (USA). The World Cup starts on Thursday, 11 June and comes to an end on Sunday, 19 July.
Bafana are in Group A together with co-hosts Mexico, Chechia and Korea Republic. Broos’ boys face Mexico in Mexico City in the tournament’s opening match on Thursday, 11 June.
