Mamelodi Sundowns showed who’s the boss as they defeated Premiership newcomers, Milford FC, 2-0 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Wednesday evening.
Just as everybody thought there would be no goals at the end of the first half, Iqraam Rayners popped in and netted for the Brazilians in referee’s added time following an assist from Aubrey Modiba.
And Antonio van Wyk, who joined the Brazilians from Austrian side SV Ried before the beginning of this season, increased the Tshwane giants’ lead in the 76th minute from another Modiba assist.
Sundowns are now equal on points – 13 – with Orlando Pirates, who are on top of the Premiership table because of a superior goal difference. Both sides have registered four wins and a draw.
