Coach Pitso Mosimane will next month return to Egypt’s Cairo International Stadium, a venue where he led Al Ahly to many victories during his tenure as the Egyptian giants’ mentor.
This time around, Mosimane will be leading Bafana Bafana when they play against the Pharaohs in an international friendly match on Sunday, 4 October, at 20h00, South African time.
“Matches against Egypt are always tough and we do not expect anything less in this latest instalment. I think that coach Pitso’s return to Bafana Bafana will add another twist because they know him very well in the North African country. This will be another great test for both teams,” the president of the South African Football Association (SAFA), Danny Jordaan, said.
Before Bafana clash against the Egyptians, they have two very important 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea. Bafana face Guinea at home on Saturday, 26 September, and then clash with the Eritreans away four days later.
