Kaizer Chiefs are back in third place after they overcame Siwelele FC 3-2 in a Betway Premiership encounter at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on Sunday evening.
Amakhosi led 1-0 at half-time through Mfundo Vilakazi’s 30th minute goal, which he scored after he received a pass from Lebohang Maboe. And Wandile Duba increased Amakhosi’s lead in the 64th minute off a Mduduzi Shabalala pass.
Three minutes later, the visitors from the Free State cut the deficit in half as Aphiwe Baliti netted.
Amakhosi, however, regained their two-goal lead after Samukele Xulu scored an own goal in the 76th minute.
Despite trailing by two goals, Siwelele never gave up and their efforts were rewarded with Michel N’guessan’s goal in referee’s added time off Tebogo Potsane’s assist.
