Orlando Pirates mentor, Abdeslam Ouddou, walked away with the August Coach of the Month award as announced on Tuesday morning.
The Moroccan got the nod after leading the Buccaneers to three wins and a draw. In the process, the Soweto giants scored eight goals and conceded only one.
And after scoring five times in four matches with one assists, AmaZulu forward, Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, won the Player of the Month award while Mamelodi Sundowns’ Brayan León’s stunning strike against Usuthu was voted as the Goal of the Month.
León from Colombia beat his Sundowns teammate, Teboho Mokoena, and Siwelele FC’s Vincent Pule to the award. Interestingly, Mokoena’s goal came from the same AmaZulu match and Pule’s was against TS Galaxy.
