Released by Kaizer Chiefs earlier this week, midfielder Thabo Cele was announced as a new Mamelodi Sundowns player on Thursday afternoon.
Cele joined the star-studded Sundowns as he seeks a new challenge this season. The African Champions captured Cele in an effort to make sure that they have a solid team for the rigours of domestic and continental football.
“Mamelodi Sundowns are pleased to announce the signing of Thabo Cele. The Yellow Nation is ready for you,” a Sundowns statement said.
Prior to being released by Chiefs, the 29-year-old Cele from KwaMashu in Durban had been with Amakhosi since January last year.
