India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets to restrict the Proteas on day two of the third and final Test at Newlands in Cape Town on Wednesday evening.
The Proteas were bowled out for 210 in 77.3 overs with Keegan Petersen having knocked 72 runs off 166 deliveries.
At stumps, India were 57 for two with Cheteshwar Pujara on nine and captain Virat Kohli on 14 runs.
Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada claimed the wickets of KL Rahul (10) and Mayank Agarwal (seven) respectively.
