Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler has described his new recruit Mogamat May as an exciting player.
The 23-year-old May joined the Citizens from Hanover Park in Cape Town after impressing Tinkler when he scored a lot of goals during trials.
“He’s a young promising player. Was playing for Hanover Park, having a very, very good season scoring 13 goals and nine assists in 10 games,” the former Bafana Bafana midfielder said.
“He’s a natural goalscorer from what I’ve seen. He’s got a lot of pace and power, so I think he’s a good acquisition for us in the striking department.”
May is the second player to join the Citizens this week with the Cape club having signed Darwin Gonzalez from Deportivo La Guaira in Venezuela.
