It looked like Orlando Pirates were going to bury Cape Town City under an avalanche of goals when they raced to a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of their DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Tuesday evening.
But it was never to be as the match ended with the Buccaneers having failed to add more goals resulting in a 2-0 win.
Pirates scored their quickest goal this season when Deon Hotto netted in the first minute taking his goal tally to three.
The goal seemed to have given the Buccaneers an appetite for more with Vincent Pule netting in the fifth minute. This was Pule’s third strike this term.
After that the Soweto giants squandered many goal scoring opportunities both in the first and second halves.
