Riaan Hanamub understands that playing at home does not guarantee a team maximum points and the Chippa United leftback firmly believes that hard work is key to winning matches.
Hanamub is expected to play an important role when the Chilli Boys face TS Galaxy in a DStv Premiership fixture at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday (15h30).
“Playing at home doesn’t guarantee you three points. Even though you are playing at home you have to work very hard,” the Namibian said.
“You need to grind, you need to fight for the three points. We gonna fight with everything we have to make sure that we get the three points.”
The Chilli Boys beat the Rockets 1-0 in a recent first round match played at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit. However, the Rockets have improved since then as they have won two matches and drawn once.
“TS Galaxy are a very good team, they are a hard running team. They use their wide spaces. Their wingers and the fullbacks push up really high. We have been training to deal with the wingers they will bring. I’m definitely positive that we will get the maximum points,” Hanamub said.
