Zeney van der Walt’s strong finish ensured that there was no clean sweep for Jamaica as she finished third in the 400-metre hurdles at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, on Saturday evening.
The 22-year-old Van der Walt won the bronze medal after registering a personal best time of 54.47 seconds.
Van der Walt finished behind Jamaicans Janieve Russell and Shiann Salmon, who took gold and silver respectively.
