Tete Morena Dijana from Mahikeng in the North West won the 2022 Comrades Marathon down-run race, which started in Pietermaritzburg and finished in Durban on Sunday 

Dijana, who walked away with R260 000, won the 95th edition of the Comrades Marathon in 5:30:38 followed by his teammate Edward Mothibi in second place in 5:33:46.

This was a massive improvement for the 34-year-old North West University (NWU) security guard, who finished 50th in 6:25:03 in the 2019 edition of the race. 

Dan Moselakwe came third with three-time Comrades Marathon winner Bongmusa Mthembu in fourth place and Johannes Makgetla finishing fifth.
