Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan has announced that Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga is ready for his world title fight against Mexican boxer Hector ‘Baby Bull’ Flores.

The 23-year-old Nontshinga from East London clashes with Flores in Mexico on Saturday, 3 September (Sunday, 4 September, South African time). Initially, this vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight bout was scheduled for Tijuana, Baja California, in Mexico on Friday, 19 August (Saturday, 20 August, SA time).

“He’s ready, he’s ready to go. This fight is going to be held in Mexico City,” the award-winning Hot Box Gym chief trainer said.

Nontshinga, who earned the right to challenge for the IBF title after he defeated Filipino boxer Christian Araneta in April last year, has won all his 10 fights with nine of those ending in stoppages.

On the other hand, the 29-year-old Flores is also unbeaten and has registered 20 wins with half of those being knockouts and four of his fights are draws.

Meanwhile, the IBF junior-flyweight title was left vacant after Nicaraguan Felix Alvarado relinquished it and moved up to the flyweight division earlier this year.
