Award-winning 39-year-old South African whistleman Victor Gomes is going to officiate in his third match at the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.
Johannesburg-based Gomes, who has already officiated as a middle man in two matches, is scheduled to become the fourth official during the quarter-final clash between Netherlands and Argentina on Friday.
Spaniard Antonio Mateu Lahoz, who is 45 years old, has been appointed as the match referee for the Netherlands-Argentina encounter.
