A date has been set for former world champion Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler, his trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan, assistant trainer Shannon Strydom and cutman Bernie Pailman’s departure for Japan.
Budler, Nathan, Strydom and Pailman are due to fly out of South Africa for Japan next week ahead of the 35-year-old boxer’s fight against Japanese Kenshiro ‘The Amazing Boy’ Teraji on Monday, 18 September.
Teraji’s World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ junior-flyweight titles are going to be at stake when he faces Budler at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
“We are going to leave for Japan on Saturday the ninth of September. It’s gonna be me, Hekkie, Shannon and Bernie. Loren Goodman will be coming to Japan from Korea as well,” Nathan confirmed.
The 31-year-old Teraji stopped American boxer Anthony Olascuaga in the ninth round in April while Budler blew away Wichet Sengprakhon from Thailand in the first round in May this year.
