Japanese boxer Kenshiro ‘The Amazing Boy’ Teraji was too much for Hekkie ‘Hexecutioner’ Budler as he stopped the South African in the ninth round at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday.
As a result of the win, Teraji successfully defended his World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ junior-flyweight titles.
After Teraji landed a flurry of blows, Mexican referee Jose Guadalupe Garcia intervened on behalf of Budler to end the fight in the ninth round.
This was the fourth successive knockout win for the 31-year-old Teraji. He has now improved his record to 22 wins (14 knockouts) and a loss.
On the other hand, the 35-year-old Budler dropped to 35 victories (11 stoppages) and five losses.
