Boxing South Africa (BSA) bosses are running against time in an attempt to ease the back log of complaints, which were lodged by the regulatory body’s licensees.
This was revealed by acting BSA chief executive officer Erick Nsikayezwe Sithole after Ink Sport had enquired about the latest in the female ring officials’ complaint against Mama Rocks Boxing Promotions boss Modipadi Kgasago.
After officiating at a Mama Rocks Boxing Promotions tournament held at the Meropa Casino in Polokwane on Friday, 29 September, five unlucky female ring officials slept in the hotel’s foyer as no rooms were booked for them at the establishment.
“We have a list of complaints that have been lodged. And we will start from the first complaints. We will then attend to the ring officials’ complaint,” Sithole said.
“Already, we have informed the promoter concerned about the officials’ complaint. I’m sure we will start attending to the complaint before the end of October.”
Meanwhile, one of the ring officials, who asked for her name not to be published, told Ink Sport earlier this week that they were yet to get an apology from Kgasago as only Sithole has apologised.
