Mamelodi Sundowns eased past Nouadhibou from Mauritania beating them 3-0 in a CAF Champions League match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Sunday afternoon
The Tshwane giants broke the deadlock through Lucas Ribeiro Costa after he received a pass an assist from Thapelo Morena in the 23rd minute.
Five minutes later, the Brazilians doubled their lead when Peter Shalulile jumped high to head home past Nouadhibou goalkeeper Babacar Diop following Marcelo Allende’s corner.
Nouadhibou were reduced to 10 men after match referee Youcef Gamouh red carded Diop for a foul on Gaston Sirino, who made it 3-0 from the resultant free kick.
