World Boxing Federation (WBF) junior-lightweight champion Lunga ‘Pressure Cooker’ Sitemela and his trainer Emil Brice have declared the Dordrecht-born boxer’s readiness for Saturday’s shootout against Moussa Gholam from Morocco.
Cape Town-based Sitemela is going to square up against Gholam in a 10 rounds international bout at Yas Links, Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is going to be the main bout of the tournament, which is promoted by Ahmed AM Seddiqi’s AAM Seddiqi Sports.
“I’m ready for this fight. I have seen my opponent, nothing scares me. We are going to dance, we are going to show each other inside the ring,” the 2017 Prospect of the Year award winner said.
Brice said: “Everything is going just fine. Lunga is strong. We are ready for the fight.”
This is the 32-year-old Sitemela’s first fight since he dethroned former WBF junior-lightweight champion Steven Bagwasi in Gaborone, Botswana, in June last year.
On the other hand, the 28-year-old Gholam, who is based in Spain, defeated Mexican boxer Abraham Montoya in his last fight, which was held at the Palau Olimpic Vall d’Hebron, Barcelona, in March.
