Knockout specialist Artur Beterbiev did what he is known to do best inside the ring as he stopped Callum Smith in the seventh round at the Centre Videotron, Quebec City in Quebec, Canada, on Sunday morning, South African time.
With the win over the 33-year-old Liverpudlian, the hard-punching Beterbiev retained his World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) light-heavyweight titles.
As a result of the win over Smith, Russian-born Beterbiev, who turns 39 next Sunday, has stopped all his 20 opponents.
