Chippa United will be without their star goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali when they face Kaizer Chiefs in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London on Saturday afternoon.

The Nigerian international is out suspended after he picked up his fourth booking when the Chilli Boys whipped struggling Cape Town Spurs 2-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday.

“It’s a blow to lose a player like him. But it gives an opportunity to the other keepers that are in the club. We’ll go back and give those ones an opportunity. I’m sure he’s disappointed,” Chilli Boys co-coach Thabo September said.

The Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys will face an Amakhosi side, who are desperate for a win after picking up only a point in their last two matches.

Chiefs drew goalless with Cape Town City in Cape Town last Saturday and were beaten 1-0 by Stellenbosch FC in Nasrec on Tuesday evening.
