Cape Town City announced on Thursday morning that they had offloaded five players, who are not part of their future plans.
Thabiso Kutumela, who joined the Citizens on loan from DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns, has been released.
Khanya Leshabane, only at the Citizens after he joined them in February this year, has also been let go. The former South African national Under-23 player was once on the books of English side Leicester City.
Other players that have been released by the Cape Town club are Jo Paciencia from Angola, Relebogile Mokhuoane and Bongani Mpandle.
