Western Cape Boxing South Africa (BSA) provincial manager Mzoli Tempi has been given more responsibility by the regulatory body.

Apart from overseeing boxing in the Western Cape, Tempi from the Buffalo City Metro in the Eastern Cape will also be in charge of the sport in the Northern Cape.

Tempi, who succeeded the late Andile Klaas in the Western Cape in 2020, worked his socks off as he fought against tournaments having more foreign boxers than South Africans.

And one of the former boxing promoter’s successes was that tournaments with foreigners dropped from 65 to 23 percent.

Meanwhile, Hloks Ramagole will continue being in charge in Gauteng, Free State and the North West.

Mike Dube remains at the helm in KwaZulu-Natal with Oupa Lubisi now overseeing boxing in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
