An agreement, which will see Mdantsane boxer Theo Nxayiphi travelling to KwaZulu-Natal for a fight against Nkosingiphile Sibisi in Dundee was reached on Friday.
Nxayiphi is going to challenge current South African flyweight champion Nkosingiphile Sibisi in Dundee on Saturday, 13 July. This is going to be Sibisi’s first defence since he won the SA title against Trevor Nghonyama in March this year.
“We have agreed to travel to KZN to fight against Sibisi in Dundee,” Nxayiphi’s manager Mlandeli Tengimfene confirmed on Friday.
Initially, this fight was supposed to have been promoted by Last Born Promotions in East London. However, things changed when HleJobe Promotions’ Hlengiwe Dladla entered the fray offering to do the fight. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
