Bafana Bafana and Mozambique drew 1-1 in their opening Group A match of the 2024 COSAFA Cup tournament at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday evening.
Bafana took the lead when they scored through their captain Rushwin Dortley following an assist from Ethan Brooks six minutes before the half-time break.
The Mambas equalised after Chamito Alfândega’s cracker kissed the back of the net in the 65th minute.
Meanwhile, eSwatini’s Sihlangu Semnikati and the Zebras of Botswana played to a goalless draw in an earlier match.
