The University of the Westwrn Cape showed Young Buffaloes from eSwatini no mercy as they thrashed them 6-0 in the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA qualifiers at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, Malawi, on Thursday afternoon.
UWC’s goals came from Nondumiso Manengela, Bongeka Gamede, Ntombifikile Ndlovu, Tiffany Kartjie, Koketso Mamabolo and Sibulele Holweni.
The Capetonians scored four times in the second half having led 2-0 at half-time through goals from Manengela and Gamede.
Meanwhile, Botswana side Gaborone United beat Herentals Queens from Zimbabwe 1-0 in the first semi-final encounter.
