Orlando Pirates have reached yet another MTN8 final following a 3-1 aggregate win over Cape Town City at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers scored both goals in the first half. Tshegofatso Mabasa headed in to give the Buccaneers the lead in the 25th minute and Pirates were not done as Deon Hotto netted their second goal from a free kick just outside the box two minutes before the half-time break.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in a first leg encounter at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Pirates are going to face the winner of Sunday’s clash between Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns, which is scheduled for the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday afternoon.
