Magesi FC made history when they stunned Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in a Carling Knockout final at the Free State Stadium on Saturday evening.
Magesi came from behind after the Tshwane giants had taken the lead through Iqraam Rayners in the 36th minute. Magesi replied through Tshepo Kakora and Delano Abrahams to give Dikwena tša Meetse their first trophy.
Magesi, who are coached by Clinton Larsen, made history by becoming the first team to win a trophy in their very first season in top-flight football.
