Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Friday afternoon that they had appointed Mandla Mashimbyi as the new head coach of the Proteas women’s team.
With over a decade of coaching experience at domestic and international levels, Mashimbyi has a track record of success, including multiple championship wins with the Titans.
He had stints as bowling coach and assistant with the Proteas men’s team. He was recently the fast bowling coach for the Paarl Royals.
The Phalaborwa-born coach’s impressive resume is complemented by a strong set of leadership, communication and motivational skills. His process-oriented approach, combined with his commitment to player and team development, positions him to create a winning culture within the Proteas women’s team.
