The 2023 Netball World Cup logo was unveiled in Cape Town on Tuesday ahead of the 16th tournament.
The World Cup tournament is going to be played at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
“This is an interesting time for netball globally. It is like we are entering into a new dawn. As Netball South Africa we are very excited that we are here today. We are very excited to be revealing the look and feel of the 2023 Netball World Cup. This is not only our World Cup as South Africa but that of the whole continent as well,” Cecilia Molokwane, Netball South Africa president and World Netball Regional Director Africa, said.
Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa announced the Netball World Cup 2023 Board in April.
“As members of the Netball World Cup 2023 Board, we are extremely excited about today’s event because we believe this is one of the many steps to take towards some of our obligations for hosting a successful World Cup,” Patience Shikwambana, Netball World Cup 2023 Board chairperson, said.
