Following his third round knockout victory over Egyptian opponent Marwan Mohamad Madboly in the last-32 of the WBC Grand Prix in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last month, Ntethelelo ‘Baby G’ Nkosi now faces an opponent from Chin.

The former South African junior-welterweight champion clashes with Chinese boxer Ju Wu in the last-16 stage of the WBC Grand Prix in Riyadh on the weekend of 20-22 June.

“I’m fighting against Ju Wu from China. The fight is going to take place on the third weekend of June,” Nkosi from Mtubatuba revealed.

Wu advanced to the second round of the tournament after he defeated Spaniard Jokin Garcia on points in the last-32. Wu is the reigning WBC Far East junior-welterweight champion, who once held the WBO Asia-Pacific Youth and IBO International lightweight titles.

The 25-year-old Jinan-born southpaw is not a hard hitter as his record of 15 wins with three stoppages, a loss and two draws suggests.
