Legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao and Mario Barrios from America fought to a majority draw in their World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight title.

The judges scored the bout as follows – Tim Cheatham and Steve Weisfeld had 114-114 on their score cards with Max DeLuca having Barrios winning by 115-113.

This was the first time that the 46-year-old Pacquiao fought in more than two years and he didn’t disappoint as he competed well with Barrios.

Another Filipino boxer, Eumir Felix Marcial registered a third round technical knockout victory over American Bernard Joseph in their scheduled eight rounds middleweight bout.

Marcial’s compatriot Mark Magsayo’s dominant performance resulted in him capturing the vacant WBC Continental Americas junior-lightweight title following a win over Mexican Jorge Mata.

Judge Glenn Feldman scored the fight 98-92 with Mike Fitzgerald and Jack Reiss’ identical score cards reading 100-90.

On the other hand, American Gary Allen Russell Junior defeated Hugo Castaneda from Mexico by a 10th round technical knockout in their junior-lightweight bout.

American Sebastian Fundora retained his WBC junior-middleweight title after he stopped Tim Tszyu from Australia in the seventh round.

And Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz won the interim WBC junior-welterweight title after he defeated Omar Salcido by a unanimous points decision.
