Banyana Banyana beat their Algerian counterparts 2-0 in the second international friendly match held at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Friday afternoon.
Following a goalless first half, coach Desiree Ellis’ team shot to the lead through Nthabiseng Majiya’s goal in the 59th minute. This was the second time that Majiya scored against the Algerians in as many matches.
Shakira O’Malley put the matter beyond the North Africans’ reach when she netted Banyana’s second goal three minutes before full-time.
