Having left South Africa on Wednesday evening, Lusanda Komanisi has landed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he’s going to face off against Tajikistan-born Russian boxer Anis ‘The Hunter’ Chilaev at The Gallery in Meydan this coming Saturday.

This is the former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight and South African lightweight champion’s second fight in just less than two months. Komanisi lost to unbeaten Afghan boxer Milad Azizi by a fourth round stoppage in Moscow on the 19th of April and that was his second successive stoppage loss having been stopped in the second round by Khurshidbek Rasuljonov from Uzbekistan in Ekaterinburg, Russia, last November.

Initially, Chilaev was scheduled to fight against Dubai-based former World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia featherweight champion KJ Natuplag, full name Khurvin Jhon Ballitoc Natuplag, from the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Chilaev, who was born in Bunay, Tajikistan, is unbeaten in 13 fights having won all of them and seven of those wins coming from knockouts.
