KwaZulu-Natal Premiership side Durban City confirmed on Monday afternoon that they had released at least nine players from their squad.

Four players – Terrence Mashego, Taahir Goedeman, Ronaldo Maarman and Siphiwe Mahlangu – have been released by the Nedbank Cup champions following the expiry of their loan agreements. Mashego was on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns with Goedeman returning to Cape Town City while both Maarman and Mahlangu were on loan from Sekhukhune United.

On the other hand, the contracts of Falakhe Tshanini, Odwa Nyulu, Joslin Kamatuka, Onele Rulwana and Lindokuhle Chonco have not been renewed by the team coached by Tunisian Khalil Ben Youssef.
