Mamelodi Sundowns continued with their impressive start to the 2026/27 season as they whipped Marumo Gallants 2-0 in a Betway Premiership match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilians took the lead through greenhorn, Malibongwe Khoza, in the 21st minute after he received a pass from Bathusi Aubaas.
And Cassius Mailula showed why Sundowns didn’t hesitate to re-sign him when he returned to South Africa as he increased the African champions’ lead in the 68th minute following an assist from Brayan León.
Third-placed Sundowns have now won two matches and drawn once while Gallants, who are stone last, have lost twice and registered one draw.
