After trying for a win in six previous matches, Chippa United finally registered their first victory of the season as they beat TS Galaxy 1-0 in a Betway Premiership encounter at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in KwaMhlanga on Sunday evening.
A second half goal from Harold Majadibodu following an Abubaker Mobara pass sent the Chilli Boys to ninth position in the Premiership standings.
Elsewhere, Orlando Pirates defeated Marumo Gallants 2-0 at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Phokeng, Rustenburg.
Pirates took the lead when Kabelo Kgositsile netted in the 32nd minute from a Thapelo Mokobodi pass. Mokobodi turned provider yet again as Nkosinathi Sibisi scored the Buccaneers’ second goal.
Meanwhile, Milford FC and Durban City drew 1-1 in a KwaZulu-Natal derby while Lamontville Golden Arrows played to a goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs in another earlier match.
