Mamelodi Sundowns have been crowned 2026 FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup champions after they defeated Al Ahli Saudi 2-1 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.
Nuno Santos scored for the African champions in each half while his teammate and goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, netted an own goal.
Following the win, the Tshwane giants have now advanced to the Challenger Cup final where they will face either Toluca or Palmeiras or Fluminese. Should they win, they will clash against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
