Zambian side, Red Arrows, will go to the second leg with an advantage after they beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in a first round match played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia, on Saturday afternoon.
After both sides failed to find the back of the net in the first half, the Zambians netted through Malian forward, Alassane Diarra, in the 76th minute.
Amakhosi will get an opportunity to turn the tables on the Zambians when the two sides meet in the second leg scheduled for the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban next weekend.
