Melissa Miller’s trainer Lucky Ramagole has warned Sharadene Fortuin against thinking that she can repeat what she did to Miller in 2014.
Ramagole is going to lead Miller into war when she defends her South African female bantamweight title against Fortuin at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg on Sunday.
“I’m confident that Melissa is going to win on Sunday. We have worked very hard for this fight compared to when we lost to Simangele Hadebe,” Ramagole said.
“I have seen a big difference in Melissa now. I have done my best to prepare for this fight. I believe that Melissa is going to deliver on Sunday.”
Ramagole has admitted, though, that she knows nothing about Fortuin.
“Unfortunately, I don’t know Sharadene. I only know her name. I tried to get her videos, but failed. Fortunately, Melissa knows her as they fought against each other before even though Melissa lost. Sharadene must watch out because this is a different Melissa, not the one she beat in 2014.”
Fortuin from Seymour in the Eastern Cape scored a points decision over Miller in Strand in June 2014.
This tournament is promoted by the Gauteng Boxing Promoters Association (GBPA).
