Watching his side missing chance after chance while they are stuck at the bottom of the Premiership table left Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr with a headache.
Kerr is disappointed after his players squandered many clear goal scoring chances during their 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Friday evening.
Lidoda Duvha striker and captain Rodney Ramagalela was the main culprit as he couldn’t even convert on one-on-one situations.
Leopards’ goal was scored by Ovidy Karuru from the penalty spot while Phathutshedzo Nange’s striker ensured that Stellies picked up a point from the match.
The point earned in the Cape Winelands means that Lidoda Duvha have collected six points from nine matches after winning once, drawing thrice and losing five times.
‘‘Disappointing because I thought half time we should have been 4-1 up. First 10 minutes when we came up we kept giving the ball away, giving away to Phathu. Nange is a clever player, that’s why I made two
substitutions to solidify the midfield,’’ said Kerr.
‘‘Rodney nearly cost this team a point. A point away from home is good enough, yes, but we should have buried the game in the first half.’’
Kerr, who played for Arcadia more than 30 years ago, has now shifted his focus to preparing Leopards for next Sunday’s match against Orlando Pirates at home.
‘‘We will prepare for next Sunday, our game against Orlando Pirates.
We got five games in Thohoyandou, we now need to get 15 points out of those five games,’’ Kerr said.
