Kholosa Ndobayini has successfully defended her South African female lightweight title after she outpointed Bonita van Jaarsveldt at the Meropa Casino in Polokwane on Friday.
Ndobayini’s unanimous points victory came on the back of three successive losses while this was the second loss in a row for Van Jaarsveldt having been defeated by Matshidiso Mokebisi in June.
Qumbu-born Ndobayini last defended her title with a stoppage win over Xoliswa Jonas in 2019.
Meanwhile, former world and South African bantamweight champion Bukiwe Nonina defeated Ntombokuqala Tolashe on points in an eight-round junior-lightweight bout.
