It’s the same old story as Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt laments the number of chances the Chilli Boys create and miss during matches.

It was the same during their goalless draw with Swallows FC at Mdantsane’s Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London on Sunday. The Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys created enough chances, but failed to convert them.

“I thought we were very unfortunate. I thought we played well. Disappointed for not scoring. We created a lot of opportunities. The commitment was there, the players did well,” Hunt said.

The Chilli Boys are still stuck in 14th place on the Premiership standings with six points from eight matches.

Meanwhile, Swallows coach Brandon Truter admitted that the Chilli Boys put them under pressure.

“To be honest, Chippa did put us under pressure. I’m happy for the defence, it’s a clean sheet in a while,” Truter said.

The Chilli Boys’ next game is away to Cape Town City on Wednesday, 3 November, while the Dube Birds face Lamontville Golden Arrows a day earlier.
